How to Use

For Guests Using the Public Bath

After your sauna session, you can enjoy the public bath at the attached ryokan free of charge.
There is no time limit, so please relax and enjoy.

Reservation

Please make a reservation by phone or through our website.

* Advance reservations are required for all visits.
*We cannot accommodate walk-in customers.

Arrival

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your reservation time.
Enter through the Yamatoya Honten main entrance.

Check-in

Tell the front desk staff that you have a sauna reservation.
We will explain the facility and hand you the rooftop sauna key.
Rental items such as swimsuits and extra towel sets are available here.

Go to the Rooftop Sauna

After check-in, please proceed to the rooftop sauna floor.
Use the elevator from 1F to 9F.

When you arrive at 9F, the entrance door is on your left.

* Do not lock the 9F door.

From 9F to the rooftop sauna, please use the stairs only.
The stairs are steep, so please be careful.

Unlock the door and step through the curtain to reach the rooftop sauna floor.

Change in the Powder Room

Please change in the powder room.

A set of towels, ponchos, and sauna hats is provided on the shelves in the powder room for each guest.

* Swimwear is provided only if reserved in advance.

You may move around the rooftop floor and inside the building wearing the provided sandals.

Please wear swimwear at all times on the rooftop floor.

Enjoy the Sauna

The rooftop sauna is fully private.
Please relax and enjoy your time.

Paid drinks can be ordered using the order sheet provided.

* Please check the information sheet in the resting area for details.

* Payment for drinks is made at checkout. Please bring the completed order sheet to the 1F front desk.

Lock the Door When Leaving

When your usage time ends, please lock the door to the rooftop floor and exit.

Please make sure to lock the rooftop floor door.

You may remain in your poncho and sandals while inside the facility.

Please place your belongings, such as clothing for changing, into the plastic bags provided in the powder room and carry them with you.

Please place your shoes in the nylon bag provided in the powder room.

* You cannot return to the rooftop after your time ends.

* Even if you are still inside, staff will begin cleaning after your session ends.

Check-out

Please return your room key to the front desk on the first floor.

Return the key at the front desk.

If you ordered drinks, please complete payment at checkout.

If you plan to use the public bath, we will give you a new bath towel.

Relax in the Public Bath

After checkout, you may relax in the ryokan public bath.

Please move to the basement B1 floor with your belongings while wearing your poncho.

* You may also change into your own clothes if you prefer.

There is no time limit.

* The bath may be crowded as it is also used by hotel guests.

Return Rental Items

After using the bath, please return all rental items.

Used towels: Return to the laundry box in the bath changing room.

Poncho, sauna hat, swimsuit, and sandals: Place everything in the vinyl bag and return it to the designated basket.

* Please include the sandals as well.

Lounge Time

After checkout, you may relax in the 1F lounge.
Feel free to use your laptop, read, or enjoy a quiet moment.

* Lounge use may not be available during busy hours.

Departure

When you are ready, please feel free to leave at any time.
